Importance of air traffic control in the world

Few people know this profession and its importance in the world, The Air controllers they exist, are especially different because they have ability to easily remember, to think ahead and sense of abstraction.
Good air controllers, They mostly remember phone numbers and addresses without problems, they also feel part of the airport at which are found

Responsibility

All air traffic controllers should be aware that thousands of lives depend on their skills every day.

The sense of abstraction used to know that you look at a blip on the radar, But behind the radar, an appliance with human beings on board.

Challenges day after day

The day-to-day problems faced by the air traffic control system are primarily related to the volume of air traffic demand placed on the system and weather. Several factors dictate the amount of traffic that can land at an airport in a given amount of time. Each landing aircraft must touch down, slow, and exit the runway before the next crosses the approach end of the runway. This process requires at least one and up to four minutes for each aircraft.

What is the use ?

Air traffic control (ATC) is a service provided by ground-based controllers who direct aircraft on the ground and through controlledairspace, and can provide advisory services to aircraft in non-controlled airspace. The primary purpose of ATC worldwide is to prevent collisions, organize and expedite the flow of air traffic, and provide information and other support for pilots.

Airport operations

At an airport, There are 5 different control stations, where the task of the air controllers control tower is to separate incoming and outgoing flights, avoiding delays and dangerous operations. Each controller has a radar and a display of "electronic slips", which each one represents a plane.

This is the task we will carry out in ATC3.
